About The Mind-Body Bridge Therapy
At The Mind-Body Bridge, I offer health and wellness coaching using The MindBody Reconnect (MBR) programme, developed by Clare Caldwell and inspired by world leading experts such as Dr. Gabor Maté and others.
The MBR programme provides fascinating insights into how our emotional and physical wellbeing are deeply interconnected. At its core, it recognises three distinct levels of knowledge within us as described by Dr. Gabor Maté – the Brain (Mind), Heart, and Gut (Body).
These three centres are constantly sending us messages through emotions and physical sensations, calling us to take appropriate action in any given moment. While we can’t prevent these messages from arising, we often choose to ignore, dismiss, or alter them. When we consistently disregard these signals, they don’t simply disappear. Instead, they accumulate, forcing our body to “raise its voice” to get our attention.
When our body’s subtle emotional signals go unheeded for too long, it has no choice but to communicate through physical symptoms of illness, what Dr. Maté calls “the body saying NO.”
My coaching sessions provide knowledge, insight and practical tools to understand and respond to these signals in the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past. You’ll learn to interpret your body’s messages and respond appropriately, allowing your body to stop ‘shouting’ through symptoms of illness. This approach helps your body release old patterns whilst developing new strategies, leading to improved health and happiness through a balanced connection between your ‘thinking’ and ’emotional’ brain.

In your tailored sessions, we’ll work together to help you understand mind-body concepts in ways that are meaningful and practical for your unique situation, such as:
- Understanding the two types of emotions – what they mean and why we can dismiss them.
- Learning to set healthy boundaries that put your needs first, navigate everyday challenges and improve your relationship with yourself and others.
- How to listen and understand the intuition and needs of your body, sent through subtle and strong emotional messages and physical prompts to rediscover your authenticity.
- Become proficient at acting appropriately to this powerful inner communication so your body feels ‘heard’ (perhaps for the first time in a long time!), allowing a reversal of old patterns to shift.
- Discovering how to balance your ‘thinking’ brain with your ’emotional’ wisdom, avoiding the trap of overthinking, allowing your nervous system to regulate.
- Exploring what life balance and variety is required for true fulfilment, what that means for you personally, and how to achieve it authentically.
