My Story

When My Body Said ‘No’

Hi I’m Karen. If you’re someone who cares deeply about your work but sometimes feels stretched, overwhelmed, or out of balance, you’re not alone.

Throughout my career I was someone who gave 100% to everything I did. Working in Marketing and PR with both small businesses and multinational organisations — as well as running my own and family businesses — I cared deeply about doing a good job and meeting expectations. But like many professionals, I often said “yes” when I really meant “no,” and pushed myself to keep going even when something didn’t feel right.

On the outside I appeared confident and capable, but internally I was operating far beyond a healthy balance.

Over time, I realised something needed to change. The pressure I had been carrying for years was beginning to show up physically — through anxiety, panic attacks, low energy, fatigue and emotional ups and downs. It became clear that my mind and body were asking for a different way forward.

Discovery, Recovery & Supporting Others

I began exploring the deeper relationship between stress, emotions and the body, learning how to reconnect with myself and better understand the signals I had been ignoring for years. What I discovered was powerful: Small, intentional changes can create significant shifts in how we feel, work and live.

Today, as a trained Mind-Body Coach, I support people who feel overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or disconnected from what truly matters. My work focuses on helping people restore balance, develop emotional awareness and create healthier, more sustainable ways of living and working.
